When people come to you to present their problems

Imagine you’re in charge of a big company, and everyone keeps coming to you with problems. It gets really tiring, right? So, one smart boss came up with a cool idea to make things better.

Instead of just complaining about problems, he made a rule. If someone wanted to talk to him about a problem, they had to write down four things first:

  1. What’s the problem?
  2. Why is it happening?
  3. What could we do to fix it?
  4. Which solution do you think is best?

By doing this, he found that people didn’t bother him with as many problems anymore. They figured out solutions on their own! And guess what? He saved a lot of time and felt better too.

He wasn’t just avoiding problems. He was teaching his team how to solve them. So, it was a win-win!
